Paris Soto
A speculative fiction writer exploring themes such as the lure and dangers of delusion and humanity’s relationship with nature. In 2025, her manuscript placed second in the Pacific Northwest Writers’ Association’s unpublished novel contest in the horror/paranormal category. Her short story Hallaca appears in the anthology HOPE AMONG THE STORM, published by Three Ravens Press.
She is a member of the PNWA, The Black List, and the LGBTQIA+ community. A staunch believer in yearning, you will always find romance budding between the lines of her bleak, yet hopeful, work. When not writing or reading, you can find her haunting the halls of the North Carolina Museum of Natural History or strolling through a crumbling cemetery with her kids. And yes, she still rewatches Dirty Dancing about once a week.
Now Querying!
A woman defined by isolation and a fear of abandonment hosts the reading of her father’s Will on their remote island in Washington, but when someone begins murdering her guests, she discovers she’s never been alone, nor is she the only one afraid of being left behind.
